Monday, March 26: Community Forum on the Williams Pipeline

The Williams energy company of Oklahoma has proposed burying a 23-mile long fracked gas pipeline off our coast.  Come to a Community Forum at 7 pm at the New York Aquarium, 602 Surf Avenue, Coney Island, to learn more about this proposal.  If built, this pipeline would run along the shores of Staten Island past Brooklyn and end at an existing pipeline off the Rockaways. We’ll talk about the construction process, the effects on marine and human life, the costs, Williams’s safety record, and the impact on climate change should this pipeline be built.  And we’ll talk about the permit process and how citizens can have an impact.  The event is free.  Come join us!
