We will be providing a weekly update to developments in the area and highlights of the week to come.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Updates for 23-29 May:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nev Power,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> head of the National Covid-19 Coordination Commission, is set to appear before the Senate Select Committee into Covid-19 on Thursday June 4th. Nev Power is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/australia-news\/2020\/may\/23\/covid-commission-boss-nev-power-steps-back-at-gas-company-amid-conflict-of-interest-concerns\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to have stepped back from his role as Deputy Chair of Strike Energy (a WA based gas company) over perceived conflicts of interest. <\/span><b>He retains his position as Chair of the National Covid-19 Coordination Commission, with no public process for dealing with conflicts of interest.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Andrew Liveris<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, member of the Government\u2019s Manufacturing Taskforce and Board member of Saudi Aramco and WorleyParsons has also been <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom.nt.gov.au\/mediaRelease\/33324\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">appointed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Co-Chair<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><b>Northern Territory Economic Reconstruction Commission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Strike Energy\u2019s West Erregulla Gas Project has been <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asx.com.au\/asxpdf\/20200528\/pdf\/44j5dqvzbppw1c.pdf\"><b>granted Lead Agency Status<\/b><\/a><b> by the WA Government.<\/b> <b>Nev Power<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the Deputy Chair of Strike Energy. Lead Agency Status means the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation will provide the West Erregulla Project with \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">case-management for government interfaces, and the coordination of approvals across a range of Government departments.
