The announcement comes ahead of the much talked about G7 Summit in Sicily (<span data-term=\"goog_1910862428\">26-27 May<\/span>) and during the first UNFCCC intersession under President Trump.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Catholics express their strong conviction for the care of our common home just\u00a0in the middle of our week-long <a href=\"https:\/\/globaldivestmentmobilisation.org\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/globaldivestmentmobilisation.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1494438665090000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGQfP-1wQQrl3Gs4ovnt1x34mrI4Q\"> Global Divestment Mobilization<\/a>, during which thousands worldwide are taking action to push cities, universities, churches, pension funds, museums and other institutions to demonstrate climate leadership by breaking their financial ties to fossil fuel companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D_xqn-FyN_k\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>WHO COMMITTED TO\u00a0DIVEST?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over 530 institutions globally, representing over $3.4 trillion in funds under management, have committed to divest. They include institutions such\u00a0as\u00a0the World Council of Churches, the Lutheran World Federation, the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and many academic institutions such as Stanford University and Oxford University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Below are the Catholic institutions that have committed to divest either fully or
