This is why we live in Vermont

Sometimes an event so captures the spirit of Vermont it symbolizes what we’re all working to preserve.

This weekend’s Walk for a Tar Sands Free Kingdom is definitely one of these events.

ALL are welcome to join any part of the walk along the pipeline to help raise awareness about a plan forming to pump toxic Tar Sands through our pristine Northeast Kingdom.

You can join any part of the walk or walk the whole way.  Friday night there’s a NOFA wood-fired pizza party at our campsite at 4 ACRE FARM with Bread and Puppet Theater. On Saturday we’ll join the Irasburg Town Fair to host a Tar Sands Free Kingdom booth.  This is a time for the whole family to come out and have some fun and make a difference. You can also volunteer to support the walkers with roadside assistance and make a small donation to help buy their food and supplies.

*** If you haven’t yet signed up, fill out this Quick Form  ***

If you can help with a small donation go here and put “Kingdom Walk” on the form.

And finally there is a Banner Painting happening this Wednesday (7/18) at  6pm on Waterfront Park, Burlington (outside near boardwalk).  We’ll have fun making a beautiful hand painted banner the walkers will carry, and share info about what we’re all doing to keep Vermont Tar Sands Free.
