Monday, Dec. 5, Water is Life, 7-9 pm, at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church (1801 Hillsborough St) in Finlator Hall in Raleigh. Speakers will connect water, climate, and pipelines, in solidarity with Standing Rock. Ryan Emanuel is a hydrologist who studies natural and human aspects of the water cycle, including impacts of climate change on water quantity and quality.  An enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe, Ryan is also interested in indigenous knowledge related to water and present-day environmental concerns of indigenous communities. John Wagner, who volunteers with many local organizations, will share experiences of his trip to Standing Rock in September and give us updates. Tom Fletcher, member of 350 Triangle and Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will talk about his experience at the climate talks in Morocco as a delegate of witness for Unitarian Univeralists.
