350 South Bay Los Angeles is the oldest California 350.org chapter, organized in June of 2009 to support the International Day of Climate Action.  350 South Bay L.A. works in the communities of the South Bay (Beach) cities as well as the Los Angeles Harbor.  These communities are home to 6 refineries, two ports, multiple freeways, and two airports. The Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbor communities bear the unfortunate distinction of having some of the worst air quality in the United States.

Today, our revitalized 350 South Bay Los Angeles Group works with our Environmental Justice allies and other community and environemental groups to address the impacts of climate change, support a just transition to 100% renewable energy and seek environmental and social justice for front line communities.

350 South Bay L.A. was integral in helping to create the Hermosa Beach Carbon Neutral City initiative, the creation of the South Bay Bicycle Coalition, the Manhattan Beach MB2025 vision for 100% renewable energy by 2025, and the South Bay Clean Power Community Choice Aggregation initiative.

Our driving mission is to help facilitate a just transition from fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy.
