Several U of M graduate students are partnering with the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network to conduct a BioBlitz at D-Town Farm on Saturday, May 6, 2017!

A BioBlitz is a rapid biodiversity assessment that combines taxonomic inventory, public outreach and science education. For the past 3 years we have been visiting D-Town farms and engaging with youth on exploring the biodiversity there. This year we expect the participation of 80+ youth and we need your help!

If you are interested in volunteering for the event please click this link to fill out the form by Monday, April 17. Let us know if you have any questions. Also, feel free to share with anyone who might be interested in participating.

Let us contact you about future activities. And we won't ask you for money! (Only email is required.)

From Detroit to Western Washtenaw!

We will be:
  • Organizing to ensure that a climate change denier does not become president.
  • Lobbying to prevent Michigan’s lame duck legislature from eviscerating the state’s solar industry.
  • Coordinating participation in a 350-led march in Washington, DC during the first 100 days of the next administration.
  • Fighting for climate justice both in underserved communities and for displaced workers in the fossil fuel industry.
  • And much more!
