nyc nyc, February 23, 2015

350NYC is pleased to welcome Dan Sherrell, Sierra Club NYC Organizing Representative, who will be presenting an overview of important current initiatives — with a special focus on a comprehensive new framework for a statewide just energy transition from fossil fuels.

Dan will inform us about Sierra Club’s critical campaign to secure aggressive commitments to large-scale renewables; efforts to ensure that working families are the beneficiaries of this transition; and partnerships that are being created to expedite these goals.

Additionally, Dan will give us an update on the recent REV hearings in New York City. This is an opportunity for all of us to help envision strategic goals and tactics — to get greater momentum behind efforts to switch to clean energy — and move faster to reduce fossil fuel use in our state and region.

For our regular meeting part of the evening we will be discussing upcoming events for March and April and providing an update on developments in our ongoing campaigns.

All are welcome!

Lighting the Way

Donate to 350NYC's LED campaign and cut carbon now!

Our latest Sustainability Project seeks to provide LED lightbulbs for an entire building of low income seniors in NYC. There's no easier path to immediate carbon reduction while also helping our neighbors reduce their electric bills.
