About this event:
Most of us experience a “dark night of the soul” at some time in our lives, but what do we do when our entire culture and indeed our planet is experiencing a “dark night of the globe”? Do we live in denial as if “it will all work out”? Do we “numb out” with the countless distractions and substances the culture offers us? Or what if we already feel engulfed in emotions like fear, anger, sorrow, and despair?
This workshop offers us an alternative by:
- Inviting us to reframe the questions and face our predicament honestly and courageously
- Examining what inside of us laid the groundwork for our predicament
- Supporting us in finding sources of meaning and purpose in a time of extinction
- Offering a safe container for finding our way back to each other
- Exploring myriad ways to create deep joy in our lives rather than seeking momentary happiness
“Cata-strophe” literally means a descent that we are being asked to make together. This workshop offers the connections and dynamic tools necessary for making the inescapable journey.
