About this event:
Sat., Sep. 8 – Rise for Climate, Jobs & Justice –
350.org is organizing a massive weekend of action on Sept. 8 to set the bar for climate leadership and demand real climate action. Rise for Climate, Job & Justice is a global day of action calling on local decision makers to build a fossil free world: No fossil fuels and a just transition to 100% renewable energy.
We’re joining with communities across the world for a day of action preceding the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco a week later… No more business as usual! Phase out fossil fuels, develop & implement clean energy & conservation strategies today, so our kids have a future!
Put this date on your calendar! We are organizing locally for an inspiring, edgy and fun event in our area. Stay tuned. And if you’d like to help organize, please contact us at 350Eugene@gmail.com and put “Help with Sep. 8th” in the subject line. Thanks!
