About our presenters:

Kemy Joseph

As a leader in several schools, businesses, and nonprofits, including working with Nobel Peace Prize Winners to inspire social justice initiatives, Kemy Joseph has impacted thousands of people across the globe. This is especially impressive because Kemy’s upbringing was fraught with poverty, depression, suspensions, and even encounters with the police by age 14. Fortunately, with the help of many mentors, Kemy turned his life around.

In his keynote and interactive session, Kemy will share lessons from his leadership successes and failures as a roadmap for empowering each of us to be the best, most effective leaders we can be moving forward.

Dr. B. Grace Bullock

Dr. B. Grace Bullock is a visionary psychologist, scientist, educator and entrepreneur. She has devoted her life to individual and societal health and well-being, and sustainable social change. She is the Founding Director and CEO of the International Science and Education Alliance, a highly regarded national speaker and science writer, and author of the acclaimed book, Mindful Relationships: Seven Skills for Success – Integrating the science of mind, body and brain.

Leadership is as much of an inside job as an outward ability; what goes on inside our minds, bodies and brains determines our success as much as our ability to inspire others. In Grace’s engaging session we will take a look at how our thoughts, feelings and attitudes can support or undermine our growth as individuals and leaders. You will learn how to recognize and overcome those inner challenges to become an authentic and impactful agent of change.

Mary Wood

Mary Wood is the Philip H. Knight Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the school’s Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center. She teaches property law, natural resources law, public trust law, and federal Indian law; she has also taught public lands law, wildlife law, and hazardous waste law. She is the Founding Director of the school’s nationally acclaimed Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center.

Mary is also the advisor to the EG350 climate club at South Eugene High School and in that capacity has helped the students there strategise to build their club and has supported their ongoing legislative and local initiatives.
