Fostering Sustainable Behavior: Learn the psychology and practice of creating effective community sustainability programs that tap into people’s inner motivations. Study communication and collaboration skills that support behavior change when change is hard — without using money or authority to make people change. Practice techniques through direct contact with people, in groups and solo. Learn the methods green industry practitioners use. Put knowledge to work immediately in a community service project.
350Eugene member/REI, Divest! campaign leader/LCC Sustainability Instructor Alice Warner will be teaching this course. It meets for 10 wks. Mon./Weds. (Jan. 8 thru Mar. 24) @ 1 – 2:50 p.m. LCC Downtown campus. Several options: Register for credit (3 credits/WATR202/#31241); OR thru Continuing Education for $99 (reg. opens Dec. 5); OR people age 65 plus can audit tuition-free ($42 in DCA fees).
