Hoping for a better deal from Trump appointees, the company reapplied to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) which denied its permit twice. FERC has opened a comment period for the scoping process, which will define the issues to be addressed in their new Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
